About Melissa

Melissa is an occupational therapist at an outpatient therapy practice in Mesa, Arizona and is a StandStrong partner.

Melissa graduated from the doctoral occupational therapy program at Northern Arizona University in 2018. Melissa gained valuable experience during her clinical rotations-treating a wide array of patients with neurological, musculoskeletal and cognitive impairments from birth through older adult. Melissa is passionate about helping people live their lives as independently as possible through providing holistic, client-centered therapy. Melissa studied Spanish as an undergraduate which helps her more effectively provide therapy to the Spanish-speaking population. Melissa is also involved in multiple research projects and seeks opportunities to present her research at conferences both locally and nationally.

When Melissa is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dog. She also enjoys traveling to Colorado to see her family and is an avid skier.
